Time Museum

The Time Museum is housed in a restored historic villa in northern Tehran, dedicated to the measurement and concept of time. Set within a quiet garden, the museum traces how societies have understood, recorded, and organized time — from ancient calendars and sundials to mechanical clocks and modern timekeeping.

The collection focuses on Iranian and international timekeeping instruments, displayed across rooms that still reflect the building’s former residential character. Rather than a conventional museum experience, the visit feels intimate, combining scientific history with craftsmanship and design.

What makes the Time Museum distinctive is its atmosphere. The contrast between precise instruments and the calm garden setting encourages a slower pace, turning the visit into a reflective pause rather than a dense historical lesson.
